Alternate views of my Chibiterasu sculpture. See the original here:

Chibiterasu is made with Super Sculpey over a wire and foil armature. He was painted with acrylics and coated with a satin glaze for protection. He is mounted on a wooden base that has been sanded, stained and glazed. Model foliage and flowers were added as well. He measures 8cm from bottom of base to top of head, and 10cm from tip of tail to nose.

Okamiden is (c) Capcom

I do not know if you remember me from the Anime Con, however I bought your Chibi Wolf Link and Umbreon. I love them both and, I don't think you would, but if you ever wish to sell your Chibiterasu, I will pay you quite well for it, please send me a message if you wish, thank you.

Oh yes, I do remember you! Thank you so much for your purchases, I definitely hope you are enjoying them. :) Wolf Link was one of my favorite pieces I did for that convention, I'm so happy he has a good home. :D I'll send you a private note regarding Chibi.

Gorgeous work! I just made chibi myself too. WEIRD. Yours is way better hehe. I LOVE the pose and the base! Mind if I ask about the base? Is it a wood knob or something? The small flowers are beautiful, and the expression is great!

Aww, thanks! And yours is also awesome, we just work very differently. ;) I can't work with colored clay to save my life! Especially that dang white clay. XD

I picked up the base at Michael's craft store, they have a bunch of different sizes and shapes for only $1 each. I did have to stain it myself, though.

White clay is a PAINNN. I have to wash my hands between using ANY other color and red is the WORST. XD So Okami characters are a huge challenge XD But still yours turned out amazing!

And ooh! You stained it great! And that's actually what I was wondering because around the craft stores I've always seen those cheap wood bases but they never looked nice and finished like that one, so I was wondering where you got your hands on a nice finished looking one XD but in the end you just did the work to finish it yourself!

It really adds to the image a lot. Looks great! I might have to try it sometime, though... I don't know how well I'll be able to with my bird, I can't use anything with fumes around him.

Yeah, I had seen some really nice looking bases on some sculptures and I kept wondering where people were getting them. It didn't even occur to me to do my own until I mentioned something to my husband about wanting pretty bases and he was like "uhh, those are just normal wooden bases, you just need to add wood stain to them." XD

Ah yeah, that would be tough with a bird, they are so sensitive. :\ Do you have a garage or and outdoor area that you could use to keep the fumes away from him? I do a lot of my heavy duty things like that in my garage to keep my ratties safe.

With an apartment I don't have as many options sadly... but I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for it. I love how nice yours turned out so I'll really have to think about something like that sometime!

And awww I'm glad your rats are safe X3
